Prof. Samah Ali Loutfy

Biography

Samah Loutfy starts as demonstrator at Virology and Immunology unit, Cancer Biology Dept., National Cancer Institute, Cairo University In Egypt since 1988 till now. Spent subsequent years (1995-1997) at Kuwait health laboratories, Virology section from 2003-2006 in clinical virology at WHO Collaborating Center for Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS), and WHO Collaborating Center for Virus Reference and Research for the Eastern Mediterranean Region (EMR), Virology Unit, Microbiology Department, Faculty of Medicine, Kuwait University. She has been complied with certification and accreditation standards, sharing in internal and external proficiency program with UK. Clinical attachment at National laser research institute, Cairo University from Jan 2010 till Jan 2012. From Feb 2019 till now at Nanotechnology Research Center, BUE, Egypt. Member of different scientific socities. More than 53 documents on scopus, with 1170 citations, she has been awarded for the best clinical research in 2005 and 2006 from school of medicine, Kuwait University. Awarded for international publications from Cairo University yearly since 2010. Best poster award, National Cancer institute, Cairo University BGO 2016&2017. Awarded as best oncology researcher from Pencis company, India, and for Dr Heba khafagy in field of cancer from ASRT. Recently she has joined as member at National committee of microbiology at ASRT, winning several grants from STDF and ASRT. Supervising more than 40 Msc and PhD&MD Theses and grad projects. Recently had a new role as head of Cancer Biology Dept, National Cancer Institute, Cairo University July 2024.
